SEMINAR DETAILSDATESThursday evening, June 23 through noon on Sunday, June 26, 2011. TUITION$1,900 per person for full participants. $3,300 per couple for full participation. $1,400 per person for auditors. Includes meals (per attached schedule), entertainment, and program materials. While travel and lodging are the responsibility of the participant, the Institute has reserved reduced-rate rooms at The Lodge at Vail. Call for details at 970-476-6608 or send us an email. FULL PARTICIPANTS vs. AUDITORSFull participants people who like to talk, argue, and defend their views will enjoy an active Socratic-inspired, give-and-take seminar dialogue with their fellow participants and our speakers, guided by experienced facilitators. For those who want to soak up knowledge without weighing in themselves, we also offer an auditors’ tuition rate. If you just want to learn more about the region but not speak up, this is for you. Participants and auditors also receive a concise packet of relevant readings in advance of our event. OTHER ATTENDANCE OPTIONS$500 per person for Mini-Course attendees. $200 per person for Keynote Dinner attendees. The Institute's Mini-Course includes the Keynote evening on Friday, June 24 and our speakers' presentations from 10am-12:30 pm on Saturday morning, June 25. Keynote dinner attendance includes cocktails, dinner, and the keynote address from 6-10 pm on Friday evening, June 24 at the Lodge at Vail. Mini-Course participants do not actively participate in the conversation with our speakers and are not provided with relevant readings. SEMINAR LOCALEMost seminar sessions, meals and receptions will be held at the The Lodge at Vail. APPLICATIONTo reserve a space, please return a seminar application and deposit to the Vail Valley Institute. Seminar applications will be accepted on a first-come basis. Confirmation of enrollment will be mailed to you. PAYMENT SCHEDULEA seminar tuition deposit of $750 per person ($1,500 per couple) is due upon application. Tuition deposit is non-refundable upon confirmation of enrollment. The balance of seminar tuition is due no later than Monday, June 14, 2011. If a participant withdraws after this date, the tuition balance will be refunded if the seminar is full or a replacement is substituted.
